Tijdens de coronaperiode ging ik net als veel anderen vaak naar buiten. Weg. Ik voelde de bomen, gaven me lucht. Terug in de gebouwen zag ik de artificiële natuur, planten in een pot, binnenbomen. Buiten heelde de natuur heelde mij, maar niet heel genoeg. Ik moest dichterbij, terug naar de wortel, de aarde.

Onderstaande werken gaan over de relatie tussen de mens, zijn omgeving, de natuur, de relatie met planten en groenten, de wortels. De werken startten observerend en monden uit in een zelfonderzoek. 

During the COVID period, like many others, I often went outside. Away. I felt the trees, they gave me air. Back in the buildings, I saw artificial nature—potted plants, indoor trees. Outside, nature healed me, but not enough. I needed to get closer, back to the roots, the earth.
The works below are about the relationship between humans, their environment, nature, the relationship with plants and vegetables, and roots. The works started as observations and evolved into a form of self-exploration.
